Apnieyesp News KARACHI: The patrolling of law enforcing agencies will be boosted and pillion riding will be banned during nighttime hours in sensitive areas of the city in the aftermath of growing cases of targeted killings.
The conclusion was taken at a meeting presided by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and accompanied by Interior Minister Rehman Malik, the IGP Sindh Police Babar Khattak, CCPO Karachi Fayyaz Leghari and other high ups of the law and law enforcement agencies.
According to a spokesman of CM House, the meeting held at CM house here Sunday also decided to strictly take action against anti-social elements and that monitoring will further be broadened to keep a watch on criminals and suppress lawlessness.
Moreover, it was too decided to effectively monitor the site through aerial monitoring with the service of the helicopters and commando action will likewise be interpreted in various sensitive areas of the port city.

The meeting also warned the stockists of mobile phones to satisfy their duty and respect their commitments to warn the use of stolen phones by criminal elements.
The law and rangers have likewise been directed to hold the CNICs of the mass during nighttime hours while a strict vigil will likewise be interpreted at the airports to ensure the cause of those involved in cases of offence and the FIA was also directed to accomplish its obligations.
The meeting observed that a well conspiracy was being hatched to produce hatred among the political parties in the city and vowed to reveal those elements.
The Sindh Chief Minister and Interior Minister were of the belief that the criminals will be dealt with iron hand and no one will be allowed to interrupt peaceful environment of the city.
The CM Qaim Ali Shah said that President Asif Ali Zardari has issued strict directives to promote inter-provincial harmony and union and restore peace in the economic hub city of the country.
On the occasion, Interior Minister Rehman Malik praised the efforts of provincial home department and hoped that those forces indulged in creating misunderstanding among the coalition parties will not win in their designs.
The minister also thanked the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and ANP chief Asfandyar Wali for their whole hearted cooperation to take peace in the city.
