The Bucks look to build ontheir comeback win over Atlantawhen they head north for their first encounter of the temper with the struggling Raptors, losers of nine straight.

Star-divide

JS: Bogut mum on viral infectionAnother week, another drug of head-scratching Andrew Bogut injury news. Bogut said he received the results of his medical tests and he did not need to break the precise nature of the viral infection that has plagued him for a month. "It's a small personal," he said. "I can't say what but it's definitely not something too well to have. It's the 1st time I've had a blood infection. I truly don't need to submit any more drugs. My immune system is down; I get flush real easy. It's frustrating, especially after my injury. It's a crippling kind of touch because my vigour is not there. I'll try to drive through it and see how we go."

Bogut writes that doctors told him the contagion "will plague me for months," so I think we can have in the towel on beholding a healthy Bogut in 10/11-though many of us probably assumed that back in October. And so it goes.

Redd eyes return, Skiles non-committal. Jeff Goodman writes thatMichael Redd is hoping to pass by March, with the end of acquiring 20-25 games ahead of hitting free agency in the summer. So Scott Skiles is totally pumped, right?Um, yeah.

"We're only passing to delay and see when he's cleared to play, when that is, and go from there," said Skiles. "See where we are. See where he's at. He's got something in his mind (for a return) and I guess that's important that he's got goals in his head about when he's going to get back. That's fine. But that's no cause to pre-judge any of it."

In short, don't have your breath. Redd was inconsistent at best and outright harmful at times while trying to get back from his last ACL injury over a twelvemonth ago, so you can understand why Skiles would be a bit skeptical about Redd parachuting in for the last month of the temper and playing hero. I can see why the theme of Redd returning has some appeal, but at this point I'm just not sold on the cost/benefit.

Triples over Toronto. Entering their back against the Grizzlies on Monday, the Raptors had a hit a trio in 986 straight games. So often for that, though it was probably destined to happen given the Raps are dead end in tierce point percentage (.320) and second-to-last in threes made per game (4.7).

Del3no returns. Speaking of threes, Carlitos' five bombs against Atlanta on Wednesday were the near by a Buck since Brandon Jennings' 6/13 night vs. Charlotte on November 27.

Brandon's Buddy. DeMar DeRozan is replacing his old friend Brandon Jennings in the dunk contest, and he's coming into his own on the tribunal as well. The Compton native still can't shoot from deep (2/25 threes) but he's still averaging 19.9 ppg this month, including 28 ppg over the final three contests.

Block party. Andrew Bogut may take the conference in blocks per game, but no player who's played more than 20 hours this season has blocked more shots per minute than Larry Sanders (3.92 blocks/40 minutes). The report isn't as bright on the early end, where Sanders is making just 28% of his long twos-it's called discretion, Larry-and 42.0% overall. Not just what you'd hope for from an athletic 6'11" guy. And in case you're curious, Dan Gadzuric is shootig 38% on long twos this year.

Raptors HQ: Toronto drops ninth straightI've long been a card-carrying member of the Andrea Bargnani haters club-low-efficiency volume scorers and big men who don't rebound have always annoyed me, and Bargs is both. So I'll take to not-so-secretly enjoying stuff like this from our buds at Raptors HQ: It's ridiculous that every night, we fans can guess which big men from opposing teams are leaving to make huge games. Harangody, Armstrong, Speights, Gibson, on and on. How this club expects to start winning games, when it's supposed best player keeps turning in nights like this, is beyond me.

Establishing Bogut early against Bargnani-or the undersized Amir Johnson-is a no-brainer for the Bucks, though I'd also look to see Ersan Ilyasova get the labor of chasing Bargs around the perimeter on the early end.
