A survey is an evaluation of a publication, such as a movie (a film review), video game, musical composition (music review of a piece or recording), book (book review); a piece of hardware like a car, home appliance, or computer; or an issue or performance, such as a lively music concert, a play, musical theater show or dance show. In gain to a critical evaluation, the review's author may delegate the form a rating to show its relative merit.
More loosely, an author may review current events, trends, or items in the news. A digest of reviews may itself be called a review. The New York Review of Books, for instance, is a compendium of essays on literature, culture, and current affairs. National Review, founded by William F. A consumer critique refers to a review written by the possessor of a production or the exploiter of a service who has sufficient experience to commentary on reliability and whether or not the production or service delivers on its promises. An expert critique usually refers to a review written by somebody who has tried several peer products or services to discover which offers the better rate for money or the best set of features. A bought review is the organization where the creator (usually a company) of a new product pays a reader to refresh his new product.
